Ethan is a human prisoner in a castle ruled by Queen Veyra, a dragon who keeps lovers and does not return them. In episode 1 she picks him for the night. He bows, protests, and finally obeys the command to say her name. It sounds romantic until he learns about her previous three companions, none of whom were seen again. Episode 2 moves to the court. In front of everyone she treats him like dirt and warns a rival away with a fiery promise; behind closed doors, she informs him he is hers regardless.

Why it clicks
