Courtney's Secret

About this video

Fresh start, new street, friendly neighbors. Everyone on the block already knows his name, and his landlord's wife has plans for him.

He moves to a quiet street for a clean slate and meets the neighbors within an hour. His landlord Jamie is cheerful, practical and always around. Jamie's wife Courtney is warm, close in the doorway and curious about the box he's carrying. Episode 1 is a masterclass in welcome-wagon behavior: a soap bubble that lands somewhere it shouldn't, polite thank-yous and a narrator who warns that the husband is not the one to worry about. Episode 2 brings Nicole, who lives nearby, stops by with a favor to ask, a tattoo story and the strong sense that the whole block has been talking about him.

Why it clicks

A suburb that is a little too friendly, and a newcomer who keeps saying yes. The mystery is as strong as the flirting, and the free episodes hold back, with teasing and secrets rather than the payoff.

Watch it when: Watch it when you're in the mood for a neighborly thriller where everybody smiles a beat too long.
