The Anniversary Massage

About this video

A ninety minute anniversary gift, a wife working in the next room and a masseuse whose definition of deep tissue is surprisingly flexible.

Lauren wants this anniversary to be about her husband Dan, so she books him a ninety minute massage at home and retreats to work next door. The masseuse, Veronica, keeps a waiting list that runs for months, wears a calm smile and has firm opinions about men who hold everything in. In episode 1 she asks where he wants her to focus, shrugs off his answer and hands him a towel with one extra rule: nothing underneath. Episode 2 starts with the rings coming off, since oil ruins gold, then a medical questionnaire full of double meanings. Lauren pops in about a phone charger, and Veronica shuts the door with a line about heat.

Why it clicks

The joke is the setup: a wife who thinks she bought a professional service and a professional who reads the contract as loosely as possible. Every interruption from next door raises the stakes, while the free pair lives on double meanings.

Watch it when: Right for a cheeky midweek evening when you want a romantic comedy with oil, innuendo and a wife one thin wall away.
