Not Under My Roof

About this video

The bachelor party is canceled, the groom sulks, and his fiancée's mother has a private substitute in mind while the bride naps upstairs.

A few days before the wedding, a groom-to-be hears his fiancée's mother shut down the bachelor party with every relative watching, and he assumes she simply dislikes him. Then the bride dozes off after a long brunch, and the mother quietly steers him toward another room, promising a consolation prize that has to stay hush-hush. Episode 2 introduces company in the form of Bianca, the bride's godmother, who is clearly in on the plan. Our hero keeps glancing toward the ceiling, because his fiancée is asleep right there, and everyone else in the room seems unbothered by that.

Why it clicks

Mostly for the tension: polite family manners stretched over a very different agenda, all whispered so the bride won't wake. The free episodes tease with doors, glances and secrets rather than anything graphic.

Watch it when: Wedding-week panic with a naughty twist, ideal for an evening when you're not planning to take anything seriously.
