The Gods Gave Me My Father's Wife

About this video

A prince comes home to find his father's new queen is the stranger from his dreams, and the gods clearly approve.

Prince Theron returns to the palace, meets his father's new wife, Queen Lysandra, and recognizes her at once: she is the very figure who has been haunting his sleep. The king introduces her proudly, an oracle cries out that a snake now lies in the king's bed, and the guards drag her out. Alone, Theron and Lysandra admit they have shared the same visions. Episode 2 explains why: Aphrodite herself visited the queen with a prophecy in which the king's son takes both the throne and the royal bed. A locked chamber suggests the gods are an eager audience.

Why it clicks

Myth, politics and taboo in one chamber: a queen who knows more than she says, a prince who has already dreamed the outcome and a prophecy conveniently missing half its text. The free episodes tease through visions and loaded stares.

Watch it when: A royal court full of prophecy, forbidden dreams and one very meddling goddess.
