Five days into boot camp, Trainer Harlow strides in and sets the standard: eyes on her at all times and prompt replies. One recruit, whom she calls Private, is already trembling before she lays a finger on him. She drills him through pushups until he loses count, mocks him, then quietly books him for a one-on-one session out on the training field at six that evening. In episode 2, the session begins with stretching and a lecture on stamina. She notices where his eyes keep drifting, and decides that his lack of focus deserves a personal solution in the changing rooms.
