I Dated My Best Friend Mom

About this video

A single swipe matches Jake with his buddy's mother, and she knows. Now there's a sleepover and a secret to juggle.

Jake is thumbing through a dating app beside his buddy Tyler when a very familiar face appears: Tyler's mother, Josie. Tyler orders him to pass, and Jake lies without blinking. That weekend he sleeps over at the family house, where Josie greets him warmly, goes to ready his room, then reveals she saw his choice and wonders whether he likes what he sees. In episode 2, Tyler keeps shouting for him to come hang out while Josie hints that some things are no fun alone. Jake heads for the bathroom, a shower and a very bad idea.

Why it clicks

It is a love triangle without the triangle: a best friend downstairs, his mother upstairs and one sleepover to survive. Everything free stays at the level of looks, lies and a bathroom door left unlocked.

Watch it when: Best saved for the mood where one swipe wrecks a friendship and everybody is pretending, naughty-sitcom style.
