My Best Friends Mom

About this video

Housesitting for a buddy was supposed to be easy, until the buddy's newly single mom showed up with plans, followed by her best friend.

Jake is watching Tyler's place for the weekend, which should be a restful job for a broke college guy. Tyler's mom, Vanessa, has other ideas. She arrives with a complaint about the heat and asks for help she definitely doesn't need, and it takes one nervous phone call from Tyler to show how tangled things could get. Then Vanessa's best friend Dana lets herself in and instantly sees what's going on. Episode 2 turns the weekend into a negotiation: Dana's price for silence is a turn of her own, and Vanessa has strong opinions about sharing.

Why it clicks

Two women, one housesitter and a friend who might walk in. The rivalry between Vanessa and Dana is the show, and Jake is mostly the prize. The free episodes keep it at hints, interruptions and double meanings.

Watch it when: Competition between confident women, one nervous guy and a buddy due back soon: exactly what it sounds like.
