Dad leaves town with one new house rule: his wife is in charge, and whatever she says goes. She takes that sentence very literally.

Dad has a work trip, and before he goes he hands his new wife Ava the keys and a sentence: whatever she says, her stepson does. Ava reads that as a legal contract. Rule one and rule two are about household etiquette, and rule three stays a secret. Episode 1 shows an accidental glimpse through a door and the horror that follows. Episode 2 brings the confrontation: the stepson blames an accident, Ava points out how long he looked, and rule three is finally revealed, with a catch. This time, he is only allowed to watch.

Why it clicks

Power comes from a handwritten decree and a stepmom who enjoys it far too much. The comedy is the stepson's guilt against her complete lack of any. The free episodes stay with rules, glances and the occasional slammed door.
