The Witch Who Made Me King

About this video

Five lords stand between a baseborn knight and the throne, and a witch from the woods knows how to make them bend.

Ser Garrick is a baseborn knight who will never be crowned unless he wins over seven lords, and only two have knelt so far. Out riding, he is halted by a witch from the Blackwood who somehow knows his name and his ambition. She offers to bring the remaining lords to heel, but the price is nights: he comes to her at moonrise and submits to her will. In episode 2 he arrives, because they always do, and the bargain is spelled out: one night for each lord, no soul required. If he walks away, a rival's laughter at his coronation is guaranteed.

Why it clicks

Dark-fantasy court intrigue with a bargain at its heart: power in exchange for obedience. The witch is calm, the knight is proud and the clock keeps ticking. Free episodes tease with candlelight and negotiation, saving the rest for later.

Watch it when: Swords, scheming and a seductive deal you suspect you shouldn't take, served by candlelight.
